Experience life on the edge at Pulpit Rock

NORWAY // The sight of people perched right on the edge of Preikestolen (604m/1982ft), or Pulpit Rock, is one of Norway's signature images (there are no safety barriers, so watch your step). Hikers gasp at this finger of granite rock with its ethereal light and views extending deep into the inky blue waters of Lysefjord. Reached by a two-hour trudge, it's hands-down one of the most sensational lookouts on Earth, whether seen in the swirling mist or near-blinding Nordic sunshine.
