Isalo National Park attracts visitors with its vertical rock walls, lush vegetation and beautiful waterfalls. Throughout this tropical paradise, travelers can spot reptiles and primates – more than 50 species live here – while walking, hiking and biking 10 trails.

What animals are in the Isalo National Park?

Red-fronted brown lemur, Verreaux's sifaka and ring-tailed lemur are seen during the day. Others such as the red-tailed sportive lemur, gray mouse lemur and giant cockerel mouse lemur are nocturnal and can be seen on night safari walks.

How do I get to Isalo National Park?

A visit to the park can easily be included in any road trip in southern Madagascar. However, the most direct way to get to the park is to fly to Toliara (Tuléar). The distance from Toliara is 240 km by 150 miles and the driving time is about 3 and a half hours*. *Driving time is only an approximate indication.
