Track wildlife in Parc National Odzala-Kokoua

REPUBLIC OF CONGO // Wade beneath the thick canopy of the world's second-largest tropical rainforest in search of Central African megafauna, Lurking in this jungle's depths are hundreds of wild species, including forest elephants and some 22,000 western lowland gorillas. Now run by NGO African Parks, the park has improved tourism facilities, including viewing platforms, upgraded accommodation and transport links with Brazzaville. Importantly, sustainable projects have also been initiated to provide new incomes for nearby communities to reduce the economic pressures that can lead to poaching.
