GERMANY // 'Form follows function' was the mantra of such early Bauhaus pioneers as Walter Gropius, who spearheaded the radical movement in 1919 in an effort to unite art, architecture and industry. With strong, clean lines and a 'less is more' ethos, the globally influential school flourished in Dessau.
