Discover a design for life at Dessau's Bauhaus Museum

GERMANY // 'Form follows function' was the mantra of such early Bauhaus pioneers as Walter Gropius, who spearheaded the radical movement in 1919 in an effort to unite art, architecture and industry. With strong, clean lines and a 'less is more' ethos, the globally influential school flourished in Dessau. Just over a century later, you can feel its reverberations at the Bauhaus Museum, a slick glass-and- steel rectangle that shelters an impressive 1000-strong collection.
