Feast your senses at Lyon's Cité de la Gastronomie

FRANCE // France's third-largest city, Lyon, is its culinary heart, thanks to its bountiful produce, chequered-tableclothed bouchons (small bistros) and galaxy of Michelin-starred restaurants. Now, the Cité de la Gastronomie (City of Gastronomy) is its showcase. Opened in 2019 in the magnificent Hôtel-Dieu de Lyon, a 16th-century landmark on the Rhône river, its four floors stage exhibitions on the past, present and future of French cuisine. You'll also find food-and-wine workshops, tastings and demonstrations, as well as a restaurant, cafe and shop.
