Roam bonnie banks and deep waters at Loch Lomond
Loch Lomond is a lake in southern Scotland. It’s part of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The surrounding highlands area is home to red deer and oak woodlands. On the eastern shore, footpaths and cycle trails criss-cross craggy Ben Lomond mountain and the smaller Conic Hill. Across the loch, Luss Heritage Path winds through rolling countryside and ancient Luss village, with its stone cottages.

Roam bonnie banks and deep waters at Loch Lomond
SCOTLAND // Britain's biggest lake is 37km (23 miles) long and 8km (5 miles) wide. That might not make Loch Lomond a global giant, but this "bonnie, bonnie' place, celebrated in song and bridging the Lowlands and the Highlands, looms large. Its southern stretches are spotted with islands; in the north the waters deepen and mountains such as giant Ben Lomond gather. There are cycling trails all around its historic shores, and there's excellent walking on the eastern shore.
