Be awestruck by age-old architecture at Taos Pueblo
USA // One of the oldest continuously inhabited communities in the USA, Taos Pueblo is renowned for its multi-storey adobe complexes built nearly 1000 years ago. The honey-coloured buildings, set against the backdrop of the soaring Sangre de Cristo mountains, look much as they did when the first Spanish explorers arrived and believed the settlement to be one of the fabled Seven Cities of Gold. Today, around 150 tribal members live on site and provide tours revealing Pueblo Indian history and culture.
