Stand tall above England's whitest cliffs, Seven Sisters Chalk Cliffs
ENGLAND // Flagstaff Bottom. Rough Brow. Brass Point. Beachy Head. Each undulation on the epic Seven Sisters has a name, many of them rich with poetry. And wouldn't you want a name to inspire you if you sat high above the English Channel, the South Downs at your back and a great chalk cliff beneath you? The views are, unsurprisingly, wonderful - indeed, the Seven Sisters are often the screen double for the more famous but grubbier White Cliffs of Dover, since the crash and tear of the sea beneath keeps the cliff faces a brilliant white. Many come, snap that photo and leave, but there's plenty to do here, with a beach at Birling Gap, walks along the South Downs Way (which runs along the top of the cliffs) and even a lighthouse you can stay in. Nearby are handsome villages and fine country pubs.
