City landmarks include the Château Frontenac, which dominates the skyline, and the Château de Quebec, an intact castle that forms the centerpiece of the ramparts surrounding the old town and contains a secondary royal residence. The National Assembly of Quebec (provincial legislature), the National Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec (National Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec), and the Museum of Civilization (Museum of Civilization) are found in or near Vieques-Quebec.
