What is the Black Neck Crane Festival?
The annual Black-necked Crane Festival is a one-day event held every year on November 11 at Gangti Gonpa, Gangteng-Phubji Valley in Wangdorfhodrang District, Central Bhutan. The Gangteng-Phobji Valley is the largest wintering habitat for black-necked cranes in Bhutan, with approximately 300 individuals each year.
